I have been enjoying the hobby of scale modeling for over 20 years. In 1999 I founded a local chapter of the International Plastic Modeling Society. We are called IPMS/West Central Missouri - Show Me State Modelers. I was President of this club until 2006, when I retired after co-hosting a very successful IPMS/USA National Convention in Kansas City. I'm happy to report that the club has continued on with great success under our new leadership. You can visit our club website at: http://www.ipmswcmo.org/
I am currently the Regional Coordinator for IPMS/USA Region 5. If you are interested in the International Plastic Modelers Society, you can visit the website here: http://www.ipmsusa.org/
My modeling interests lie mainly with 1/48 scale aircraft, especially jets and helicopters. I also enjoy 1/350 ships and 1/35 scale armor. I have an intense interest in all things military and military history. My favorite aspects of plastic modeling are super-detailing kits and weathering them to bring them to life.
Building models has brought tremendous joy to my life. I have very close friends all over the country I have met through modeling. I have taken incredible vacations to attend conventions, and have even been awarded an all expense paid trip to Japan, thanks to this hobby. Spending time in my hobby room at the end of a work day is very relaxing for me.
